June 2025 Reading Wrap-Up
This month I read 10 books! I’m highlighting all of the books below — you’ll find links to shop all of the books in the titles. Thanks for hanging out with me!
- ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
- Historical fiction/Romance
- So much to love about this book. The story is fully engaging and the nostalgia for the Space Shuttle Program is on point. I loved the characters and the story and was so sad when this one was over.
- ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
- YA/Fantasy/Romance
- Described as The Invisible Life of Addie La Rue meets This Is How You Lose the Time War
- I haven’t read a book with a twist quite like this. I loved the characters, I loved the slow reveal, and I absolutely was rooting for Evelyn and Arden.
- ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
- Historical fiction/Romance/Mystery
- The writing was absolutely beautiful— I can see why so many of my friends loved this one. I struggle with books that excuse and/or justify adultery and that was a big part of this book.
- ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
- Dark Romance
- Navessa Allen has a way of making her characters funny, annoying, and even scary at the same time. This is the second book in the series and I missed the laugh-out-loud banter and antics from the first one. Still a good book with loveable characters and plenty of spice.
- ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
- YA/Mystery
- A super quick read about grifters and a murder mystery. Really enjoyed this one for the characters and the twistiness.
- ⭐️⭐️⭐️
- Mystery Thriller
- I really enjoyed this book while I was reading it, but it’s pretty typical for the genre. Add it to your TBR when you want an engaging mystery to read!
- ⭐️⭐️⭐️
- YA Mystery Thriller
- I love Karen McManus- she’s an auto-read for me. This one’s about trio of friends who’ve lost touch with each other and a murder that brings them back together.
- ⭐️⭐️⭐️
- Historical Fiction/Magical Realism
- Strong female main characters, some witchy magic to protect their village, and the men who can’t help but want the magic for their own selfish reasons… shocking, I know. But an enjoyable read, nonetheless!
- ⭐️⭐️⭐️
- Historical Fiction
- I will readily admit that this rating might be because I loved The Island of Sea Women so much. This is another story about women- as individuals and who they are to the people around them. The characters are strong and likeable, the story is engaging… I just didn’t fall in love with it the way I did Sea Women…
- ⭐️⭐️⭐️
- Mystery Thriller/Historical Fiction
- Riley Sager is another auto-read for me. This one is fun and twisty from start to finish. You’ll know who the killer is until you don’t…. It’s a three star for me because the historical part of the fiction is lacking… you’ll know what I mean when you read it.
